Recipe:

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, diced

1 small head of cabbage, chopped

2 cups cooked rice (optional, for a more filling dish)

1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes (with juice)

1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce

1 tbsp tomato paste (optional for richness)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for topping)

Directions:

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until beef is browned. Drain excess fat.

Stir in the garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for another minute.

Add chopped cabbage to the skillet. Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage softens slightly.

Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and tomato paste (if using). If adding rice, stir it in at this point.

Pour mixture into a greased 9×13″ baking dish. Cover with foil.

Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 40–45 minutes, or until cabbage is tender.

Remove foil, top with shredded cheese, and bake uncovered for another 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
